A Step Back in Time…
Our cottage was built in 1876 of ironstone and limestone by Stonemason Jonathan Lake. The cottage has been previously known as Amelia’s Cottage after Jonathan’s daughter Joyce Amelia. Purchased in the early 2000s and restored to its current condition. More recently, the venue was renamed to “1876 Stonemasons” in recognition of the amazing building skills of Jonathan way back in 1876!
The original cottage now has luxuries like a large two-person spa, a dedicated dining room all with the historic feel of the period with quaint decals, luxury furnishings, and brass décor. It is the perfect romantic getaway, and is fully self-contained.
We want to offer a unique, high quality and luxurious accomodation venue for couples on the Yorke Peninsula.
Our aim is to promote local tourism and advocate for the region, by showcasing the beautiful Copper Coast.
This is your chance to emphasize why the visitor should contact you right now now.
